Test Grounds and Special Events
Placed in isolated Northwestern Arizona, featuring the scenic high Sonoran desert. This private, 640 square acre property consisting of multifaceted valleys, rough dry hills, buttes, washes, scrub brush, creosote, juniper and mesquite with soil consisting of a pancake of sedimentary rocks and erosion features is a perfect fit for military, industrial testing. The acreage is surrounded by undeveloped, Federal BLM property. Environmental impact studies are not required on the test range.

The Big Sandy Test Center is proud to announce the installation of a moving target system to the range facility.
The targets cycle on 100 meter (330 foot) track, at 8, 12, and 19 mph. The moving target can be engaged at up to 1,500 meters (1,640 yards).
Additional Capabilities
Ballistic testing
The Big Sandy Test Center has utilized a wide range of small to intermediate caliber munitions and delivery systems for beta testing, client demonstration, endurance, real world training and operations. From the primary firing line there is 0-1,000 meter range to the impact zone.
Firearms training
Our test center is available for specialized training with live fire exercises. Training can include firing from vehicles, aircraft, and ground positions. Specialized targets can be brought onto the range, or can be provided by the test center.
FILM AND T.V LOCATION
Our range has hosted large scale sound and film productions on site. The expansive open and dramatic desert landscape provides an impressive functional space as well as a scenic backdrop.
